There was one girl in particular at the reception that was excellent went out of her way to help and accomodate me. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but would be very interested to find out who she was and to write to the management. (She got me a brochure for the musuem in Naples and directions and info always very helpful. The youngest girl on reception I would think)

The rooms were kept very clean and tidy all the time. Excellent cleaning service. I thought however the decor could be a bit more improved maybe lightened up with a bit of paint, newer furniture etc. Otherwise all was okay.

It was very clean tidy staff were all very friendly and helpful in particular one girl. Could do with something to add atmosphere maybe music evenings? Could provide a more regular bus shuttle to the town centre especially when children are accompanied.

The staff was more than acccommodating upon arrival. Based on the time of our arrival, they inqured as to whether we would like to take lunch at the hotel, which we had not pre-arranged. They provided our group of 10 with a wonderful buffet lunch. Upon check-out, we were additionally pleased to find that we were not charged the single meal cost as stated in the menu, but rather were charged a minimal, pro-rata fee as if we had subscibed to a full-board stay.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The staff, services and accommodations were excellent. (And of course, the views from each of our rooms were just perfect!) The rooms were always clean and in full repair. My only criticism of the hotel relates to its furnishings. Generally, they need to be updated. The furniture was a spartan and just a bit worn. I think that a physical upgrade of new furnishings would bring this hotel to its deserved status and make it the perfect vacation spot in Sorrento.

Our group was comprised of 10 people among 5 rooms. All extra charges such as refreshments, etc., were charged to my room. Upon check-out, a full detail of each charge and authorization was available for my review, adn the bill presented was 100% accurate. This was very much appreciated.

The staff at the Hotel Cristina provides service well beyond the basic requirements. Front desk services were consierge in nature and provided us with every detail necessary to maximize our stay both in Sorrento and the surrounding areas. All transportation requests were serviced timely and accurately. All of our needs were anticipated and addressed.

This hotel is a real find. It is an extremely good value for the money, and provides a traveler with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is relatively small. The staff is attentive without being intrusive. I can't say enough about the wonderful service provided by this hotel. The hotel offers magnificent views from each room, which can also be enjoyed from the pool and dining areas. The hotel is only a short walk to the center of town, although the uphill return can be a bit challenging. However, shuttle bus services are available direclty from the hotel. I stayed in a sister hotel of the Cristina in Sorrento during the same trip and did not enjoy it nearly as much. I beleive it was the staff that made the difference.

Generally as expected. Disappointed in the advertisement for a turkish bath at their sister hotel - this was a disappointing experience - it was literally a steam room & shower, certainly not a turkish bath. We were in the room for less than 5 minutes and yet when we queried the charge for this we were told we would have to be pay as otherwise the lady at reception would have to pay for us & obviously she wasn't prepared to do that. Wasn't happy at all with this explanation and the lack of understanding by staff of our disappointment in this service. Also tennis courts were advertised for use, however there was also a charge for these, another disappointment. If the tennis courts are for clients use then you shouldn't have to pay for them, I have never paid for tennis courts at any other hotel I have stayed at. I felt hotel cristina tried to charge extra for anything they could in order to just take that bit extra money from us.

It should be stated that they are not in Sorrento, but St Agnelo, which is at least a 20 minute walk into the centre of Sorrento & that if you want to go out in Sorrento of a night you will have to pay about €15 in a taxi one way.

Beautiful views, nice pool, lovely food, good service. Breakfast, not of 4* standard. Expensive.

It was difficult to guage from the web site how far the hotel was from Sorrento centre. I found that we were taking taxi's there and back (the hotel shuttle was fine, but made limited runs).
The staff were very helpful. We experienced very heavy thunderstorms and taxis were in high demand. The staff made sure that we could get to and from Sorrento: Much appreciated. They were also helpful on other ways during our stay and made the visit feel warm and welcoming.

I'd recommend the hotel. I would say that the view is often lost in haze, and the Bay of Naples is not as stunning as might be imagined as a result. But the hotel and restaurant is good, the staff excellent, and location (provided you take taxis) also good.

The only problem was that you really needed to take a cab from the ferry to the hotel as the hotel is much higher up than indicated on the website.

The directions didn't really indicate how high up Hotel Cristina was from the center of town and that basically every time you wanted to go into town or back to the hotel from the center, you would need to take a taxi cab. The hotel did provide a shuttle, but if your schedule didn't match the shuttle's schedule (only ran 4 times a day) then you were stuck paying for a cab that charged around $15 per trip. Other than that, the hotel itself is lovely and the staff are very polite.
