Food was delicious. Chairs were reserved on Mediterranean beach which was just 100 yards from hotel. Hotel has train tickets for sale to Cinque Terre. Service to customers is their best asset.
A.C is computer controlled. Guests cannot adjust this. This worked fine for us. ... I would highly recommend this hotel.

The restaurant was exceptionaly good (a la cart) particularly the seafood. ... The hotel was very good however Deiva Marina was uninspiring.

I began travel on 11 Oct in State College, PA around noon; departed from Detroit on nonstop Northwest Flight to Rome arriving 820a the next morning; took rail shuttle into Rome; took 4-hour train north to La Spezia; took 1 hour train through Cinque Terre villages to Deiva Marina where the Hotel Clelia is located arriving around 330p or 400pm; walked 100 meters to the hotel enclosed in a well-kept courtyard; AND was greeted in English & Italian as though I were a long, lost friend... ... - all hotel staff were very accommodating - I hand most dealings with Anna and Luca who were top-of-the-line in every aspect - maids were eager to please and make your stay a wonderful experience - the hotel has fantastic internet access computers on the first floor as well as on the 2nd floor hallway alcove. You always catch up on your email, check scheduled, research the next town you wanted to visit, etc, etc, etc - breakfast was a literal feast of choices from cook your own eggs to freshly sliced cheeses, parma ham and salami, to cereals with yogurt or milk, to freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juice, to toast with jam, jelly or smooth cheese, to 4 or 5 picture-perfect pastries, and all manner of coffee or tea, to fresh fruit and a fresh-fruit compote (inlcuded in rate) - evening meals were some of the BEST in Liguria. Many guests chose a hotel dinner freshly prepared over eating out wherever they had explored that day. Many other locals chose the Clelia as the cuisine was fantastic - in addition to being only 100 meters from the rail station, the hotel was only 50 meters from the beach and a nice promenade
... Well, needless to say, I didn't want to check out! Staying a much longer time would have been ideal. I will return. If anybody wishes to email me directly, I am available at iijourney@europe.com ... NO ... Contact Mike at iijourney@europe.com

Very nice especially arriving after an all night flight! ... Resturant food was wonderful and should be stated more. ... A wonderful, clean and exceptional inn by the shore which allowed us to explore. Lovely rooms, large and beautiful bathrooms.

Hotel Clelia was a delight and we would recommend it highly. The staff was very helpful and accomodating, the property was clean and well kept and very convenient to the Cinque Terre via the train station, and the breakfasts and dinner we ate there were delicious, hearty and a good value. We were sorry to have to leave! ... The staff was very thorough about the charges (which were as expected) and very helpful with information about train schedules and offering us help with our luggage. ... Clearer directions to the hotel if arriving by train: leave the platform to the south and head toward the sea. ... see above comments about our stay. We always enjoy staying at a smaller property and this was no exception. The people that run Hotel Clelia really understand hospitality.

Very quick and easy check in. ... We left very early on our check out day and were lucky that we mentioned it to the staff the night before, because we were then told we had to sign the papers early because no one would be there that early the next morning. THis would have been helpful to have known when we checked in. ... Free internet ... A very nice hotel with great amenities

Perfect base location for exploring Cinque Terre. We never needed to use the car as the train station is a very short walk connecting us to all destinations very easily.

I don't remember receiving any directions. I was confused as to where I was staying as the address read Deive Marina, La Spezia, so I went to La Spezia ... Great pool in a park like atmosphere, great breakfast buffet and wondervalue dinners at a great price.
