 Hotel Claudia Augusta is a charming 19th century Venetian Villa which has been transformed into a first class country hotel after a complete refurbishment. This new hotel has been named Hotel Claudia Augusta in honour of the old Roman road which joined the ancient town of Altino with Germany, and which runs right along the land on which the hotel is situated. |
 Set in its own private park of 6 hectares, the hotel is located in a comfortable and privileged location, not far from the Sile River and St. Mark's Square. As the Sile river is navigable and passes near the "bottom of the garden", the proprietors were given the idea of taking advantage of pick-up points along the banks to transport guests right to St. Mark's Square, a unique two-hour panoramic cruise on a characteristic river-boat. |
