There is always a good reason to visit Naples. The city offers extraordinary events all the year round. At Christmas there's the exhibition of the famous handmade shepherds of Saint Gregorio Armeno, in one of the streets of the ancient Greek city. On New Year's eve, there is the "Piazza Plebiscito party" where you can enjoy a concert with international artists and a unique firework display synchronised to music. This is a great event broadcasted live on national television. Another extraordinary event is in spring, the "Maggio dei monumenti", when Naples becomes a huge open-air museum, allowing tourists to visit and discover all the artistic treasures of the city, including those that are not usually open to the public during the rest of the year. In summer time, after you have spent your day in the sunshine and at the sea side, you can enjoy your evening in a variety of ways: theatre performances in ancient Greek and Roman theatres, open-air cinemas, concerts, open-air discos, organised by "Summer in Naples", and the Borgo Marinaro with its restaurants and piano-bars. |
