By Plane You may catch a flight to International Abruzzo Airport in Pescara, which is the nearest to the property, and otherwise land in Rome. In the first case, the terminal welcomes flights from several cities in Europe and others within Italy.
By Car It will take you around 30 minutes to reach Castello Chiola from International Abruzzo Airport (it is a distance of around 24 km). As you leave the terminal, take road SS5 and then turn left into SS16: head towards Ancona at first, and then Spoltore Ospedale, before coming to Pescara. Continue along SR602 and veer left in SR16BIS in order to exit the city. Afterwards, you will drive past the towns of Spoltore and Cappelle sul Tavo; keep on along SR151 and turn right at Strada Fontana, which will lead you to Loreto Aprutino. Follow Via Vittorio Veneto until the square and then to turn on your right into Via Degli Aquino, going up to the top of the hill where you will find Castello Chiola at the number 12.
Fiumicino Airport in Rome is 249 kilometres away (approximately a 3 hours drive). On highway A25, exit at "Chieti/ Pescara" and go along motorway RA12 towards "Chieti/ SS81/ Piceno Aprutina". Continue along Via Marcinelli before taking SS81, SP20, SP18, SP18B and SR151. Then follow the indications explained above.
By Train You can come to Castello Chiola on public transport from Pescara Centrale railway station: take a bus to Loreto Aprutino (a trip of about 45 minutes) and then walk 200 metres from the main square to the property. Trains arrive in Pescara from Rome on a regular basis, taking between 2 hours and a half and 4 hours to reach their destiny. |
