Hotel in general very clean and attractive with beautiful views from the bedroom balcony. The bedroom was kept immaculate by the cleaning ladies, who were friendly and polite.

Both my wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other people.
It is good value for money, it is conveniently close to the centre of Sorrento.
If I were to return to Sorrento at a later date, I would check this hotel for availability before looking elsewhere.

Yes. You should advertise the fact that there is a good and clean bus service from right outside Naples airport direct to Sorrento at only six EURO's per person. We met several people who payed one hundered EURO's for a taxi. Do not believe what they say about us Scottish people being mean ;-)

A good clean and nice place to stay, good value for money, and if you are lucky enough to gain a bedroom like 410 which overlooks the sea, then you would be very hard to please, if you are not delighted with such a choice.

The room was excellent : clean & spacious with an excellent view from the Balcony. The only reason I have not rated it as very good is the poor provision of toiletries - I would expect a higher standard of toiletries in a 4 star hotel.

The room promised (on an upper floor) was excellent! The large patio and view of Napoli Bay were outstanding - it made our trip.
The location of the Carlton was perfect! It was on a moderately busy side street, very quiet at night, and only 5 minutes to the town square.
The shared internet access listed on the website was 'not available.'

The only thing that would have made this stay 'one our best', was a proper breakfast.
Out of our 8 days, we could only stomach the food 3 or 4 mornings. We've traveled Europe extensively and know what to expect, the Carlton did not provide anything close.
There was never any fresh fruit or juice. Instead, the daily fruit was canned and dumped in a bowl, while the juices were very watered down and tasteless.
There were only 1 or 2 cererals (that looked old) and liquid yogurt from a machine? The rolls each morning were always very overcooked and the croissants were rationed a few at a time. It was rare to find both meat AND cheese available at the same time.
We asked to be taken off the B&B plan (almost $20US a day), but they refused.
Instead, we found fruit/vegetable stands, cafes, and an amazing pastry shop just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

We would definitely rebook at the Carlton on the upper floor (with a view) and NOT with a breakfast plan.

Although we didnt have to pay for loungers I think its awful that other rooms had to pay for a lounger, you would expect this included with the prive of the hotel. The sun lounger area around the pool was very small. There is a lot of space in the grass area which could be used.
You are able to get a bus from the hotel straight to the main suare by the hotel which is far easier than travelling to Naples and changing to a train, getting a cab the whole way of to buses. I cant remember the name of the bus, think its a Blue Ali Bus and it stops in Via Tasso

when we arrived the manager said he had to book us out to another hotel on our last nite (sat). we got a room on the 1st floor which was looking out onto a flat roof, and that was all we could see(no panoramic view or king size bed as per reservation). i complained and the manager said that there are no king size beds in the hotel but moved us to a bigger and better room with a great view, but we had to argue a little to be moved. the hotel was lovely, very peaceful and the staff were very nice. the hotel was ideal as it was a few steps from the center of sorrento. we had a lovely few days there.

q.8 the second room we got was spacious but not the first. both were spotless.

very nice and clean. there was about 6 or 8 steps at the entrance of hotel which was a bit tricky with the push chair.

There was a five euro per day charge to use the sun loungers at the pool that we felt was unnecessary. No other hotels during our stay charged this.
