In Deruta, famous for its ceramics, there is the Museo della Ceramica (15 km), full of history and ancient beauty. In Torgiano (25km) the Wine Museum shows the history of Umbrian wine making from the middle ages. Beautiful displays and interesting artifaCts that recall the mastery of man over grape! Perugia is 30 km away, for shopping, fine dining, the archeological museum and the Galleria Nazionale with its beautiful collection of Il Perugino. Orvieto is 40 minutes by car and full of Etruscan history. Not to be missed. Assisi with the Basilica of San Francesco tells the story of this Patron Saint of Italy, lover of nature and its little animals. Todi, the Duomo, the Piazza, its restaurants and magnificent views is only 25 km away. Wherever you look in Umbria there is beauty to marvel the eye and enchant the imagination. |
