Profile |
Caibaldi is a 14th century stone building, originally a military blockhouse because of its commanding position, located just outside the village of Pietralunga at the start of the Umbria Tiber valley. After restoration, carried out in accordance with local building traditions, we opened for self-catering guests in summer 1999.
There are three comfortable apartments, two six-bedded, each with its own fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Caibaldi is situated at a height of 600 metres and is encircled by woods in some of central Italy's most undisturbed countryside - home to eagles, wild boars and deers. There are numerous possibilities for walks, trekking and horse riding, for experts and beginners alike, in the surrounding Appennine hills and along the ancient trails known as ̉sentiero Italia and ̉sentiero Europa. |
