The staff was very helpful. The buffet dinner was a bargain,especially since we went during the 'off-season' ... The view over Lake Como was wonderful. The ferry to Bellagio and Varenna is a 2-minute walk and the #C10 bus stop to Como and San Giovanni train station IS right outside the door from the hotel. Villa Carlotta, although closed when we went, is a 10-minute walk away. ... Although there were big groups were staying there, we were checked out in 5-minutes. ... The fact that public transportation is right there and can take you to the other towns. ... Breathtaking views,friendly staff, very old-world decor. Quiet area though. Need to go to other towns for more 'tourist' stuff.
