... Charming place with great location and fantastic views. Although you do have to carry your luggage down, there is a little train that takes it back up when you leave. The restaurant on site was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room for four, while fine for a family with young children, has small and uncomfortable beds for older and larger teenagers. The main bedroom was separated from the living room/kitchen/bathroom and connected via a small outside balcony. ... Fuller description/layout of the different rooms would be useful.

The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful! The rooms and views were spectacular. We hated to leave! ... you have to stay there. It really can't be beat. Even though it's far from the city center, it's well worth it. The seclusion adds to it's charm and benefits.

It was quick and easy and handled the night before we left. ... The place was great and the owner was very nice and helpful. The only drawback was its distance from the town of Riomaggiore. We had to either rely on the owner giving us a ride or take the shuttles which ran very unfrequently. ... Really nice, but a pain to get to and from there.

All details were in order. Thye were most helpful. ... There were not many guests staying there when we were there, so it was very private and quiet. I imagine that if they were full it would not be as private or quiet. We were very happy with our stay! ... Somehow it should be noted that it is not very accessible to people with any physical disabilities because there are MANY stairs to climb getting to and from the apartmenti. ... Beautiful and relaxing with full views of the sea!

Beautiful location, with stunning views. Despite being a little out from the 5 villages, it is easy to drive in or catch a bus, it is nice to be away from all the tourists!

We loved Il Borgo di Campi. Had planned to stay 2 nights and then move for 2 nights in Portovenere but instead stayed 4 nights at Il Borgo di Campi. ... The accommodations are simple but quite adequate. The physical setting is gorgeous. The restaurant is very good one of the best in the area. ... Gorgeous!

I was enchanted by Il Borgo di Campi. The hotel is the view. Amazing! Words don't describre it well. But it donīt stop here. Rooms are simple, but very clean. Staff was very helpfull and nice. I would stay there again if I had the chance. It's located right before Cinque Terre, but I had a car and had no problem going there. There's also a bus that connects the hotel to the villages. If I had to give a suggestion, I would say more options for breakfast at the restaurant. The price is very reasonable, but I would pay more if I had more options. But the room had a kitchen and if we wanted, we could buy things to prepare breakfast in our room. Once again, great - yet simple - place to stay.

Ver organised and very efficient. ... We were a little disappointed that the apartment we stayed in did not have a larger terrace with a view. Had I know this I would have opted for a different apartment. Perhaps the website could be a bit more specific about the terraces each apartment has. The views are spectacular but we were not really able to take advantage of them. ... Very helpful. ... More information about the terraces would be good. ... Small, friendly and very romantic. Make sure you take an apartment with a good terrace.

We had to leave very early and there was no one in the office during our checkout. ... The most beautiful place I have ever stayed in. One of my best Italy experiences.

Parking area and luggage transfer were great! ... Our apartment did not have designated terrace and we had one unpleasant experience with the people in the apartment below us who were very territorial about their terrace area. That was the fault of the clients, but the staff could have indicated to us which was our outdoor area. ... We had a ferry ticket sent to us in care of Il Borgo di Campi. It was returned to the sender. The staff at Il Borgo di Campi telephoned the ferry for us, and were told everything was in order, but it turned out that our internet receipt was not valid for transport and we had a problem at the ferry terminal. Again, not really the fault of Il Borgo di Campi. Plus the staff was very helpful calling our next destination to confirm our reservation. ... Make certain that you clarify that you want adjacent access to outside sitting area. ... Idyllic setting among grapevines and bougainvillea; dramatic cliffside views; warm and friendly staff and service; quiet but with a small bar along the road for drinks and social life if desired; perfect access to Cinque Terre without the bustle of high season crowds; even though it was July, you could have the solitude of off season; great staff and service including passable dinner.

The appartment had a wonderful view, unfortunately there was a small window so we couldnt enjoy it from inside. the appartment was great value for money, and having a car helped us gain easy access to the cinque terre. i would have payed more to have a room that was more open and had a larger window.

Arrival was initalially horrible. We arrived in Riomaggiore with no idea where to catch the shuttle bus and found out the bus schedule was only running 4 times a day, not the 8-10 times a day we were told when we made the reservation. ( Emails to the property were not answered re: the bus schedule and bus stop location prior to our trip). When we finally got a hold of the property, the owner was wonderful and proptly picked us up in town. ... The property was gorgeous, better than I imagined. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very nice. In the kitchen area, most dishes and pots were provided, but no silverware could be found! Minor inconvenience, I would definately return here, rather than stay in one of the other Cinque Terre towns ... We had to take the first bus out to town to catch the train, but could not find any employees anywhere to check us out or help us. We finally left the keys with a kitchen staffer before we missed our bus. It ended up fine, but I was a little surprised no one was around. ... Windows and doors do not have screens, and since the a/c was not available we ended up with a few mesquitos and flies buzzing in our ears to wake us up. ... secluded and quiet with amazing panoramic views

Yes I did get the accommodation agreed and stated in the voucher but not all the facilities were available. The room stated that air condition was available but the a/c in the room we stayed was not working. Upon informing reception we were told that we did not need it since it was cool in the evening. Even if that was the case, facilities should be available and up to the guest to use or not use. ... Fantastic views and clean. The only downside are the no. steps to get to the apartments.

The bus that runs from Riomaggiore back to Il Borgo didn't go into the town on the last run (there were only 5 buses a day from Riomaggiore at this time of the year). I think this information should have been made clear from the hotel as there are very few other options. On a positive note, there is a lift from street level to the apartments which I was very grateful for. I was dreading carrying my suitcase down (and then up when leaving) to the room. ... Aside from not catching the bus from Riomaggiore back to the Borgo, our experience here was very good. The accomodations were adequate but it was the setting on a hill overlooking the sea which really made our stay memorable. Good value at this property.

We arrived at approximately 2.45pm - as myself and my husband live in Italy, we were not surprised that reception was closed until 3pm, but others may not be aware of this. We know it states check in after 3pm, but some may not be aware that if you arrive at 1pm, you will have to wait. ... Although the restaurant was good, it was not particularly child friendly (menu) and quite expensive. ... Only that the restaurant has a limited menu and would not necessarily be suitable for children who have not sampled different Italian meals before. Views were fantastic. ... Very friendly, beautiful views and walking up to the reception area was a good way to keep fit every day!
