| | | Located in the old town centre of Spello , one of the most charming medieval towns in Umbria, the hotel Palazzo Bocci is the place where history, traditions and art coexist along with new technologies, thanks to the well-balanced restoration work, with its design of exclusive rooms, both simple and elegant, for a stay with a touch of the past.
Palazzo Bocci, which opened as a hotel in 1992, has paintings by Benvenuto Crispoldi and an architectural style that is enlivened by in-between floors, split-levels and niches. In close proximity to the hotel, guests will find some important churches, such as Sant'Andrea and Santa Maria Maggiore , the latter boasting valuable masterpieces by Pinturicchio .
This 17th-century building offers its guests spaces and rooms that evoke an atmosphere of rare beauty, such as the fountain at the entrance, the hanging garden with two age-old palm trees, the spectacular Hall of Frescoes, the guest rooms, the luxurious suites, and views and hidden corners that the hotel Palazzo Bocci preserves like a precious treasure.
Located in an old oil mill, the restaurant Il Molino dates back to the 14th century. The views of the walls from the Roman period and a large fireplace in the dining room, contribute in creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant can seat 100 people and during the summer season one can also avail of an open-air terrace.
The dishes are based on the traditional Umbrian cuisine: truffles from Norcia, cep mushrooms, legumes, winter fowl, wild asparagus and mountain herbs.
A rich breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast room or in the garden between 7.30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Breakfast can be served directly in your room, on request.
