Then you can eat your catch by cooking it on board using typical local recipes! Positano: The old sea-faring town is one of the oldest settlements along the Amalfi Coast. For many years it has been an ideal resort for painters and artists such as Picasso, Oelze and Carra' and for writers such as Moravia, Buzzati, Steinbeck. Amalfi: Not only is Amalfi known as a historic Maritime Republic but it was also famous for its papermaking industry. This precious paper is still being produced for artistic purposes and limited- edition luxury books. Ravello: Ravello is one of the jewels of the Amalfi Coast with its magnificent villas and gardens. Pompei: The first disaster arrived with the earthquake in 62 A.D. leaving the city of Pompei in ruins. The Romans had considered Vesuvius an extinct volcano but the eruption submerged the city of Pompeii. Magma preserved the Roman city in near perfect condition for 1900 years. |
