The apartment is
located in an area of Capri called "Via Palazzo a Mare", where The Emperor August used to live. Nowadays only few roman ruins are visible on the coast, and are situated in the area of "Bagni di Tiberio", probably built or extended by Tiberio.
 

The heart of the August Villa was in the area where today the wonderful Villa Bismark lies.
The building is also known as "Fortino" (fort), as it incorporated the fort of the French soldiers at the beginning of the 800' to protect he ancient remains rescued from the Bourbons' archaeologists.
 

Today the outdoors of Villa Bismark remember of the ancient time for its columns and marbles.
Inside the Villa our guests can
enjoy an elegant and refined ambiance with a beautiful garden overlooking the wonderful Marina Grande Bay in Capri Island.
