I would suggest that people arriving from Napoli airport are told to take the Hydrofoil to Sorrento as its the nicest way to arrive.

We really loved our stay at the Hotel Syrene in Sorrento. The reception desk was extremely helpful and contacted another hotel for us to change a reservation. We greatly appreciate that.

Our arrival experience was excellent. Someone took our car to be parked and our luggage was brought up to our hotel.

The hotel was fabulous. Better than I expected. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with a large terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples. Everyone at the hotel was polite and helpful at all times. Great hotel. I would recommend it to anyone going to Sorrento.

The streets in Sorrento were narrow and busy with street names difficult to detect. We found our way to the hotel by following the hotel signs at most intersections.

Very nice hotel in perfect location, however, rooms are not very big. We had a junior suite although I did not consider the size of the room to be 'junior suite' proportions. However, the view from the balconies makes up for the room size. There was a lack of information available on excursions/activities and the staff were not particularly forthcoming with such information.

The only difficulty we had finding the hotel was that the name read 'Bellevue de la Syrene' so we thought we had the wrong hotel. The people were incredible, the property was spectacular. Our room was nice, clean a little moderate compared to the property itself. Very friendly staff, and they had wine and a welcome letter waiting for us in our room! A great find!

We had specifically reserved a balcony room with a sea view, and had communicated directly with the hotel staff to assure a room with a good view (That is why we chose this hotel). We were given a room on the top floor with an angled ceiling and an obstructed view from a small terrace, not a balcony. We had to go back to the front desk and insist on a room with out an obstructed view. We were accomodated, but couldn't help feeling slighted because the hotel was not very busy, and there were plenty of better rooms available.

Great view, beautiful hotel, good location, reasonably priced, but a bit of poor attitude on the part of the front desk. I would stay there again, but would be clear on what room I expected. The piano player in the bar is far too good to be playing in a hotel bar.

We pulled into the hotel quite late due to holiday traffic but we were welcomed immediately, the car was unloaded and parked and we were shown to our room.

The hotel was more beautiful than we had imagined. We loved sitting on the many balconies and in the various sitting rooms and exploring the Roman bath area. The breakfasts were delicious, the best by far of anywhere we stayed. We absolutely loved our room, with the doors that opened up to a gorgeous view of the Med. and surrounding hills.

It is a beautiful property. The rooms are big, the staff is friendly and the breakfeast is delicious. Spend the extra money to have an ocean view room, it is worth it.

Transfer pre-arranged from the airport with the Hotel by e-mail. Cab was waiting with name board cost was pre-agreed, it worked very well.

Very Grand Hotel with stunning veiws across the bay of Naples, our room was a superior with sea veiw and was exactly that. Only negative comment I can give was our bedroom is a mezzanine over the lounge & the control of temperature could only be made from reception--no room thermostat.However not all room formats are as ours was.

An older Hotel, built very Grandly around 1830. Very spacious with Marble everywhere & period decoration tastefully adorning the common areas. Definitely get a room with a balcony & sea veiw, however this is not for the budget conscious, but we thought value for money.

we stayed in lower level, nice room, great view, but they were doing some construction down there so we were woken up each morning to sanding drywall.

We went in April, weather was still a little chilly. I can't imagine how nice it would be in the summer. Great views of Mt. Vesuvius and the entire Bay of Naples. Very nice.

They showed us to our room upon arrival, and we were dissappointed. It was a small standard room with no balcony. After contacting the desk
& explaining this is not what we had requested or expected for the price (we were wondering if they might be trying to pull one over on us}. The manager showed us a new room which was beautiful, just as the pictures on your sight advertised. They also sent us a bottle of champagne. Overall we were very pleased with our stay

This was the perfect Hotel to cap off our trip to Italy. We stayed only 2 nights & I told my husband I wish we could stay another week. The view from our room was beautiful, & the staff extra friendly.

Lovely location in the centre of Sorrento but still extremely peaceful. No better place than their verandah for a drink. Try the lift down to the beach for a fatastic dip in the sea and a true sorrento experience.

We got a sea view king room as requested, however the room was down in the area below the terrace, which made us feel like we were in a dungeon. We love the Bellevue Syrene (I have stayed there before), but I would not want to stay in that area of the hotel again. The main bldg. of the hotel is much nicer.

The terrace at night is very beautiful, particularly when they have live music. As I mentioned above, we were not aware of the 'dungeon type' rooms below the terrace when we booked, and had we known, would have requested a room in the main building.

I thought there would be a larger room available for the junior suite booking. Did not like the 2 level set up. A great deal of noise in our room coming from the breakfast room area. Should have been warned.

We hadn't realised we'd arrived before the official check-in time, so we were given a welcome cocktail on the terrace bar. However we were still kept waiting for a good 10/15 minutes beyond 2pm, which was the official earliest check-in time.
Great that we were met and helped with our bags straight away, which were then held for us until we could check in and go to our room.

Good hotel in a fantastic location - you MUST have a sea view over the Bay of Naples - settle for no other. Most of the staff and very polite, friendly and helpful, but a couple ccould smile more and appear more approachable (one girl on reception point blank ignored us one day until she'd spoken to a colleague in Italian, in front of us, without a word of apology or excuse me. However she was the only one, everyone else great.
Lovely suite, good food, if a little picey. Terrace bar appetisers/starters are on the large size so be warned if you've ordered a good sized main - you won't finish one of them!

Not very car friendly - there is limited space to park when you arrive and then takes time to get luggage etc sorted beacuse of small drive way. And we visited during a quiet period of the year. Summer would be bad.

We had a great experience upon checking in. The only thing that we regret is that upon our arrival, it wasn't made clear that breakfast was included with our stay, so we didn't get to take advantage of the wonderful breakfast until our last day.

We were enchanted by the 'Amore Suite'. We loved the fresco paintings of the room and the beautiful view from our balcony. The staff were wonderful and we enjoyed our stay immensely at Hotel Bellevue Syrene. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Sorrento!

On Saturday the Hotel was hosting many different events such as wedding receptions, meetings, etc. The Cocktail Lounge was not available and the evening Dining Room was restricted to a small space and not available until late. No prior communication of this situation was made to the hotel residents.
