We had spoken to someone from the hotel because it was unclear from their fact seet and the directions how to get to the hotel after taking the bus. We somehow got the impression from the proprietor that we couldn't walk from the bus stop and needed to take a cab. (Of course, that is mostly our fault since she spoke quite good english and we speak no Italian) when we arrived we tried to get directions or a cab. finally, we found someone to showed us the hotel --- right across the street from us. Happy ending. ... We hadn't realized from the website that the hotel was on a busy street. Motorcyles and cars seemed to rev up right under our window. But that was minor. Otherwise, it was exactly as described, with a splendid view of Lake Como right across the street and an excellent restaurant. ... Our proprietors were helpful in helping us get holiday bus schedules on the day we left. ... The food was better than many of the restaurants that we ate at in florence. ... Friendly, clean, good bed, spacious bathroom, not too many steps (a plus in Lake Como) frequent boats to other towns, though still not accessible, very good value for the money. Not a lot to do or buy (if you're into shopping) in Argeno itself. But a good choice and very beautiful.

A very friendly hotel in a busy lakeside town. Comfortable accommodation, good food and a relaxing place to stay.

None ... The description didn't mention that lake view rooms also overlooked the main lakeside road which was very noisy with traffic ALL NIGHT. We hardly slept in three nights due to traffic noise. The room was also very hot at night (no air-conditioning, just an ineffective fan. Also the shower attachment was useless. ... No problem. The staff were very helpful as we had an early flight, so had to leave before official breakfast starting time, and this was accomodated. One worry was that we couldn't get our bags to the car because our exit - which was the FIRE EXIT was locked. In the event of emergency this would be a real problem. ... The noise problem. Passing traffic appeared at times to be involved in car or motorcycle racing. The village also attracted a large number of motorcyclists who appeared to use the area outside the hotel for engine revving practice. The staff, however, made us welcome and were accomodating. ... The accomodation was ok, and value for money, but the location was not as good as described and the consequent lack of sleep spoiled the experience.
