A most enjoyable experience. A real paradise. The hosts were very helpful and interesting people. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a unique place to go to in Italy. Couldn't have asked for more. Beautiful setting, and very beautiful and clean inside, with gorgeous art, luxurious linens and delicious food. ... We felt very connected to the hosts within the short period of time we stayed there, and would love to go again. A most magical place to be. ... The hosts have a lot of knowledge about the area, and can be extremely helpful in planning an itinerary. ... We loved the ambiance. It was peaceful and beautiful. Remote in a way, but once we found our way around, actually quite centrally located for visiting neighboring towns and Genoa. The furnishings and artwork were unusual and certainly special. Go there!

Very charming b&b in relaxed environment, with friendly service. We immediately got on very well with the owners, who have good politics and great social awareness.

The alleyway it is on is a little hard to find and hard to get up for larger cars. I recommend either a very small car, or parking in the main square which is only a two minute walk away. ... Fanstastic! A o soa is in a beautiful location, the grounds are lovely, the rooms are charming and clean and the hosts are very friendly and interesting. ... It's too bad that they can only accept international money order as deposit because it costs about $35 in transaction fees to do so from a US bank. ... The town, which is not detailed on the website much, is just paces away and is fantastic. ... A great way to see a small, charming, off-the-beaten path, Ligurian town. Also a good place to stay if you'd like to see Genoa, but not stay in the city.

A suggestion: How to Reach us by Car: Perhaps you should say after: .... circle around the square and go back the way you came, then turn left into the first road on your left (hill) ..... ... Beautiful village in the mountains. Owners very helpful and provided us with useful information regarding sightseeing & road directions.

This was the loveliest part of our 8 day trip. The accomidations met our hopes for a clean, beautiful and comfortable stay. The hosts were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Their good tastes and style is evident throughout the house and garden. The small village has at least two good places to eat. Sitting in the square under great shade trees on park benches is a nice way to end a day. I hope to visit again.

The driving directions, as stated on the web site, would be impossible to execute. There is no way to 'turn sharply to the right' with any vehicle except for perhaps a bicycle. The best thing to do is to go to the square, circle around and then come back up the hill. Also, one would not necessarily know that they were 'just before the square'. They would have to know where the square is first. I do think most people though would figure this out, but nevertheless, I hate to think that someone would not! ... We have described and recommended it to friends already. It's a very comfortable place and we felt as though we were living in a small Italian town. Our hosts were gracious and friendly as were the people of Savignone. We enjoy both 'touristy' experiences and 'non-touristy' ones. I think this was a marvelous example of what a real, small Italian town is like.

A nice place, I would recomend it to anybody. Since the place is situated at a VERY narrow road one should consult 'A o soa' beforing driving up the road.

Lovelt place and very quiet, with a bit of activity in the town square five minutes down the road a 2/3 nice Restaurants/Pizzeria
Unfortunatley felt a bit like I was intruding upon the owners. Also, surprised to find no locks on any doors. Breakfast was really sparse, no hams or cheeses, only Cereal and a piece of bread! oh and some cake. ... Really really tight road, do not go if you have a big car ... Alright I suppose.

Both hosts spoke good english and were always very helpful. ... Although the property is excellent and we would recommend it to others and indeed stay there again ourselves, the approach road to the property is very narrow with properties on either side - it is very difficult to negotaite especially when driving left hand drive hire car! ... Excellent - but park your car in the village square!

We arrived tired and were very grateful to have such a great welcome. We were offered Iced Tea and a shaded lounger - it was most appreciated and helped with our busy evening. ... Very friendly. English spoken very well. Guests encouraged to get to know each other. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful after hectic Genova and Coast trip.

While the property was absolutely fabulous we found the hosts to be a little 'distant', particularly the husband. We did not get the impression they enjoyed letting their house out to strangers (which I can understand) but if one decides to do this then it makes it more comfortable all round to be warm and welcoming. The property from a a beauty perspective is all that it is cracked up to be and the village very charming
