 Our holiday houses "Amalfi Residence" are situated in Conca dei Marini a characteristic town in the heart of the mythical Amalfi coast, located between Positano and Amalfi (about 15 minutes from Amalfi and 15 min. from Positano). The most distinctive feature of the town is its position: effectively located on a small promontory sheer over the sea. The Amalfi coast is certainly one of the most beautiful in the world! It's better to arrive to the Hotel by car (or to take it at a rentcar). |
 Amalfi origin is clouded. One legend says that any Roman noblemen from the village of Melphi fleeing after the fall of the empire, were first in these parts, shipwrecked in the 4th century on their way to Costantinople. Myth becomes fact by the 6th century, when Amalfi is inscribed in the archives as a Byzantine diocese, and the historical pageant really begins. Its geographic position was good defense, and the distance from Costantinople made its increasing autonomy possible. |

This coastline is sublime expression of the Mediterranean landscape, for this reason the Amalfi Coast has obtained from the Unesco the important distinguishing mark of "Worldwide Humanity Heritage". Amalfi Residence is located in a green and quiet area of the little seafaring town with a wonderful sea view!
