By car By car, from the North: Take the "Autostrada (motorway) del Sole" until you reach Naples. Follow signs for "Salerno - Reggio Calabria" (A3). Stay on this road until you reach the exit for Castellammare di Stabia. From this exit, follow signs for Sorrento and Positano. You will then reach your final destination. Between Caserta and Naples there is a traffic detour towards the A30 motorway with a sign post stating "Amalfi Coast", DO NOT take this road, follow straight ahead until you reach Naples. By car, from the South: Take the "Reggio Calabria - Salerno" motorway and stay on this road until you reach the exit for Salerno. Follow signs for the Amalfi Coast. Continue on this road past Amalfi, after which you reach Praiano. There is also another option: Do not get off the motorway in Salerno but continue on this road until you reach Castellamare di Stabia. Take the exit at Castellamare di Stabia. From here, follow the same directions as those stated by car from the North. By train By train, from the North: The recommended station is Napoli Centrale (Piazza Garibaldi) (Naples). From there, you need to change trains in order to reach Sorrento. This is a small train (company named Circumvesuviana). In the square, under the station you will find a Sita bus that will stop in Praiano. These directions are the same for arrivals in Capodichino's airport. Take a taxi or a bus to the train station of Circumvesuviana, in Napoli Centrale (Piazza Garibaldi). Then take the train to Sorrento. However, we suggest to book a taxi/chauffeur service from the station or the airport, directly from the hotel. . By train, from the South: The station (from the South) that is the closest to us, is Salerno. From Salerno, you can either travel to Praiano by road (Sita bus or Taxi) or you can arrive by sea. By airplane By plane: We suggest two airports: Napoli and Fiumicino, Rome. If you arrive at the International Airport of Naples, we would suggest that you to book a taxi or the hotel can organise a taxi for you. This is the most comfortable way to reach us. Otherwise, you can take a bus (company named Curreri) from the airport to Sorrento. From Sorrento, you need to take another bus (company named Sita) to Praiano. If you arrive at Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiumicino, Rome), you can also book a taxi or the hotel can organise a taxi for you. Otherwise, there is a train service that runs from Fiumicino to the Centre of Rome Termini and Tiburtina station, from these two destinations you need to take another train, directly to Naples. Please see details above for directions from Naples to your final destination. From the Tiburtina station there are direct connection to Sorrento and also to Praiano using a bus service called Marozzi, click here for timetables. By public transportation By boat, from Salerno: By boat, from Naples: Daily departures from the dock of Salerno (5 minutes walking distance from the train station), click here to see the timetables. We would advise you to disembark in Amalfi and take the Sita bus from Amalfi to Praiano. An alternative solution can be to phone the reception of the hotel to arrange a taxi boat to pick you up. Daily departures to Positano and Amalfi, click here for timetables. We would advise you to disembark in Amalfi or in Positano and take the Sita bus onto Praiano. An alternative solution can be to phone the reception of the hotel to arrange a taxi boat to pick you up. | | |
