The Hotel "Alfonso a Mare" is located in the heart of the Amalfitan Coast in a small village called Praiano. It is situated in one of the most beautiful and characteristic small bays of the area, overlooking the picturesque beach of "La Praia". Praiano is the last remaining mariner's village of the coast. At just 7 km from Amalfi and Positano it is also just a few steps from the crystal clear sea. |
The family Fusco has managed this hotel for 50 years. Recently renovated it offers new and modern comforts to it's guests. It is a gem set in beautiful location on the Amalfitan Coast by the sea. Near the small pretty villages of Furore and Praiano, it is a peaceful and enchanting hotel. |
The road going along La Praia leads to an unexpected flight of stairs taking you directly to the seafront and the village. Praiano has preserved the humble feel of a seaside village. From the rocks you can admire a breathtaking view of the sea and of the surrounding coast. The shoreline of La Praia is scattered with fishing boats. |
In the Seventies La Praia started to become popular with tourists, from which "Alfonso a Mare" benefitted greatly. A further inspiration for "Alfonso a Mare" came from the high society people who would go to "L'Africana", the popular night club in the magical caves nearby. Nowdays the hotel offers it's guests comfortable accommodation in a beautiful, quiet position. |
