 The restaurant "Alfonso a Mare" is a member of the chain called "Costa Diva". The"Costa Diva" association was founded in the year 1999, after the creation of the tourist-cultural guidelines "Costa Diva - Le vie del cinema (The Roads of the cinema)". These guidelines were promoted by "Comunità Montana Penisola Amalfitana" to remember the number of films set along the Amalfitan Coast by famous film directors and including famous actors from all around the world such as Roberto Rossellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Roman Polanski, Marcello Mastroianni, Humphrey Bogart, Anna Magnani, Ingrid Bergman and many more. |
 These restaurants, selected as the best on the Coast, have made additional improvements for guests in view of these guidelines. Above and beyond the warm hospitality and the high quality of the cuisine, rich with local tradition, specialities are recommended. For this reason, the restaurant "Alfonso a Mare" has created "La Consuelita", a typical dish that has taken the name of the character played by "Francesca Bertini" in a movie that was filmed directly in the restaurant. |
