The front desk staff was very accomodating and helpful to our questions.

The room safe was not secured down (bolted down) which compromises the fact of having a safe in the room as thief can just carry the safe away.

The price of the room was higher than I would have like to have paid, altough I was pleased with the great breakfast as part of the package.

The breakfast was ample and a good choice of fruits, juices, cereal, fresh swiss cheese, prosciutto, and rolls. It was nice to have breakfast outside looking over the veranda.

In the evening on the day I arrived, there was piano music playing. As the air conditioning was not yet turned on, I had to keep the balcony door open for fresh air. The piano music was very loud. When I complained to the woman at the reception not being able to keep the door shut because of no A/C and the piano music, she responded by having the piano music stopped! I was very surprised and very grateful for the consideration given!!

Alberi del Paradiso is a very charming and lovely hotel. The hotel layout utilizes the hillside location very creatively. The various terraces are very romantic and interesting. The little waterfall is very pleasant to listen to. The interior has been very tastefully furnished, incorporating various elements of ethnic influences in Sicily. I enjoyed the aesthetic beauty of the hotel. The only comment I have is about breakfast: breakfast buffet opens at 7.30, but most of the time not everything was ready at 7.30. The hotel should ensure that everything is ready at 7.30. It would be nice to have a fresh fruit salad at breakfast. Otherwise, breakfast buffet is very good, especially the orange juice machine and the bitter orange marmelade!

I would highly recommend the hotel to a friend. I plan on coming back to Cefalu and woould like to stay there again. However, I would want to ensure that I have a room closer to the pool, which I had during my recent stay, and not over the restaurant; otherwise it would be too noisy for me. Food in hotel is good but expensive.

Absolute wonderful stay. The hotel was excellent and we returned there for another four nights as travelling around the island we did not find the standards elsewhere of hotels a patch on the paradiso, would highly recommend.

The directions to the hotel did not translate to English very well.

The hotel was very comfortable but we did feel that for a superior deluxe room the shower was very small.
Also,the location of the hotel was furher from the historic centre than we had anticpated-not a problem for us but for clients with less mobility it could have been.

We had booked an early flight from Palermo and needed to check out by 6.30am. There was some difficulty in settling our account on the previous evening.

It would have been good to knowthat the rooms facing the garden had a view of Cefalu too.

We initially were shown to a room which smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. We told the reception staff and were immediately changed. Veyr good service.

Two items to consider.
The rooms had very thin walls and we could hear everything happening in the room next to us.
The restaurant was poor. Although the breakfasts were good, we had dinner one night and it was the worst meal we had during our two weeks in Sicily. Every course was overcooked, tasteless or poorly prepared, and my girlfriend's soup was undrinkable. The menu looked good, but I would suggest that the chefs did not have to skill to execute it. I noticed that they did not choose it themselves, but by a different well-known chef.

We were also given a packed breakfast as we left early, which was a nice touch.

The shuttle that runs to the beach also dropped us off in town which was very handy.

I had expected a King size bed and there were two single beds in the room. We had to go back to reception and they sent the housekeeper who made the two singles into a double. We weren't particularly pleased but the bed was adequate in the end.

Didn't really find out about the beach. where was it? Did it belong to the Hotel. Was a facilitiy included in the price. No information really but it didn't matter because the weather wasn't good enough anyway!

Arrival experience wasn't great. I had asked for twin beds, and was given double.

It's a fair walk to the beach - 15 minutes down hill. And the courtesy bus stops for 2 hours each lunch time. But the hotel itself is tranquil and utterly lovely....

For travellers like us who did not arrive by car (we arrived by train from Palermo) there are essentially no directions to the hotel. Taxis do not appear at the taxi stand. We finally took a bus, which was fine, but the directions to the hotel should indicate which number bus, if a taxi is not available as there are not very many taxis in Cefalu. We liked the hotel very much. We found trying to figure out how to get there very confusing.

For walking down to the town, there are a set of steps that lead very directly to town. We were directed to another set of steps which were not as direct and which led to an unattractive part of town. Visitors should be directed to use the set of steps past the bus stop that lead down to the underpass and train station.

I had to ask for a extra pillow one day and this took the staff 6 hours and repeated calls to get. so i was not impressed with this. It seemed very much a matter of the maid comes in the morning and this is when you will get it.

We believe we had the grade of room as requested , (Junior Suite) but were rather surprised and disappointed as to how small it was.

1. Rather disappointed that we had to pay a deposit to hire 'Pool Towels'
2. Surprised at the lack of 'Pool Service', we had to go to the bar within the hotel to order refreshments.
3. Very poor lunchtime 'snack' selection. No menu, so un-aware what was available unless eating in the dining room.

the air condition was not working so to stay in the room was not so comfortable.
the dining was not as good as we expected.

The public spaces are very nicely done and you feel comfortable. Rooms are big enough and clean. Just the air condition in our room was not working so it was uncomfortable to stay in the room. The quality of the restaurant was not good as the price. It is better go to the town to have a meal.
