By Plane
The airports you will find more convenient to reach Agriturismo Il Poggiolo are Fiumicino in Rome, specially if you take an international flight or Sant Egidio in Perugia, which welcomes flights from London, Milan and Tirana on a regular basis. The first is placed 160 kms away from the inn, while the second is much nearer, at a distance of 65 kms.
By Car
If you are driving from Perugia, you must take road SS Flaminia and exit at Campello sul Clitunno. As you approach a roundabout, go towards La Bruna/ Beroide/ Castel San Giovanni/ Castel Ritaldi. Afterwards, at La Bruna you must take the direction Spoleto, turning to your left: around 1 kilometre ahead, you will see the signs for Poggiolo: you must veer right and keep on straight for another 2 kilometres before reaching the property.
Otherwise, from Rome you must drive around 2 hours. As you leave the terminal in Fiumicino, get on highways A91 and A90 before taking road A1DIR/E35 towards Firenze. Get off at the exit for Orte and turn right into SS204 and afterwards, take SS675. You will pass close to Terni and San Carlo before veering right into Strada Flaminia, which will lead you to Spoleto.
By Train
At the airport in Perugia you can take the buses that reach the train station in the centre of the city: afterwards, get on the trains that leave to Spoleto or Campello sul Clitunno (1 hour journey). From either of these towns you can hire a taxi or get on the buses that leave you off 2 kilometres from the property.
If your plane lands in Fiumicino terminal, take the express railway service that connects the airport with Termini railway station. Once here, there are trains departing to Spoleto that take about 1 hour and a half. |
