Agriturismo Il Poggiolo is placed 7 kilometres from Spoleto, a really interesting destiny in Umbria, around 140 km from Rome: not only does it preserve constructions from the Roman Age like an amphitheatre and old houses, but it also features two incredible attractions: the fortress Rocca Albornoziana, hosting the National Academy of Book Restoration and the Ponte delle Torri, a bridge from Medieval times that leads to the neighbour mountain Monteluco.

Once you have enjoyed these sights, you can travel to other important cities of the Umbria region, such as Assissi, placed 45 kilometres away, Perugia, 60 kms or Montefalco, 18 km. The immediate surroundings of the property can also be part of your agenda: after a dive at the new swimming pool, at Agriturismo Il Poggiolo there are mountain bikes you can use for free, and walks through the countryside are organized on a daily basis.

The four apartments and two rooms of this lodging are placed within an ex convent that was completely renovated few years ago. However, there are still some details from this religious past, like the niche votive on the external side of the hamlet, and the little chapel dedicated to St Antonio abate, which dates as far back as the 18th century.
