At Agriturismo Il Poggiolo the facilities offered have to do with making the most of the time spent outdoors: that is why a swimming pool was added in 2007, so that after a few hours getting to know the surroundings on mountain bike (they are given to the guests for free), you can take a refreshing dive. In addition to this, there is a large parking space area and a playground for the younger guests. |
The reception desk at the farmhouse is open from 8am to 8pm, with staff speaking Italian, English and French. You should know that the historical tours in the area begin right inside the property, as within the hamlet you will find some details preserved from the convent that used to work here: there is a niche votive from the 15th century and a small chapel from the the 18th century dedicated to Saint Antonio Abate. |

Spoleto has all sort of historical sights to visit: the two icons of this town placed around 140 km from Rome are the Ponte delle Torri, a 80 metres tall bridge that leads to Monteluco, a mountain where the old inhabitants used to get their supply of water and Rocca Albornoziana. The latter is a fortress that was built in Medieval times and worked as a prison from the middle of the 19th century to the 1970`s. It was not till 1984 that the castle was restored to its ancient charm and nowadays it hosts the National Academy of Book Restoration. If you have rented a car you can also travel to close cities that have many other attractions: Montefalco is 18 km away, Spello is 25 km away, and Bevagna, 27 km. Orvieto, a town that dates as far back as the Etruscan times, can be found 60 km from the inn. |
