(I am Deborah Nickerson - Nina Santucci's daughter - she does not have email.)

We were very pleased with the arrangements the hotel had made for us. The woman who met us was pleasant, spoke English, and even pointed out highlights on the drive to Sorrento from the airport. The bus they arranged for the nine of us was comfortable and spacious. They could not have done a better job.
...
Again, we were very happy with everything. The rooms were spotless and the staff were friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. The breakfast was far better than the other hotels we've stayed at and the pool and common areas were wonderful. Even the balconies turned out to be nicer than we expected - those of us who got the rooms 'with balcony & sea view' found they were, in fact, lovely terraces where our entire family could get together. The only thing my mother questioned was that while we were told her single room would not have a 'balcony & seaview', what she got was a rock wall - her window faced a rock wall no more than 10-15 feet away, so she didn't even get sunlight which made it feel a little like she was in a cave. But she still loved the hotel and the accomodations.

The only thing I would change is the shuttle schedule. The hotel is somewhat isolated from the main town, so a shuttle that runs more than three times a day would have been helpful and saved us many cab rides.

We loved the hotel adn the staff and will recommend it to friends.
...
The hotel itself, the staff, the location - everything was either exactly as promised or better. We all want to go back to the Hotel Admiral on our next visit and I will recommend both Italyby and the Hotel Admiral Sorrento.
...
Some rooms have double balconies (my nephews' room had a door off their bathroom to a second side balcony. Your showers have 'emergency' pulls (not found in many hotels) which elderly people, especially will appreciate. There are several wonderful restauants with great service just steps from your door.

I would not be able to say enough about the Hotel Admiral, its services and it's staff. The facilities were gorgeous (we thought even better than promised), the location was more beautiful than we had imagined and the service and staff were spectacular. From greeting us at the airport and providing the transfer, to preparing our rooms, to arranging tours and calling cabs, the staff, to a person, could not have been more kind and helpful. We felt as if we were in a four star hotel. When we go back, we will only stay at the Hotel Admiral.

Had asked for a double room with sea views.Instead we were given a tiny room with 2 small single beds and our view was a construction site.We had been booked for 5 months so expected better. They gave us a much better room when we said we were going to find other accommodation. At least 2 other couples had the same experience. All staff very nice.
...
Thought the front reception rooms, restaurant areas were very attractive. The halls to the bedrooms had no pictures on walls and neither did the bedrooms so there wasnt a nice feel about them.
...
We stayed in hotels all over Italy and most of them charged far less ( between 100 and 115eu) and the bedrooms and other facilities were far better. We were prepared to pay the extra to get the views of the Bay of Naples, but when they gave us the first room (218) it wasnt what we had booked. We were more satisfied with room 210 as it had good views but the room was still very basic.
...
Think that it should be made clearer how far it is from centre of town and from the ferry quay.I had the impression that both of these were only a few minutes walk from the hotel and it was much further than expected and uphill all the way.Photos of bedrooms should be included.
...
Basic rooms but good views in certain rooms.Good breakfast Friendly staff,Not cheap.Decor in halls and bedrooms non existent

the hotel was very clean and well maintained, only thing we didn't like was the salt water pool, that didn't look very clean. Never saw anybody clean or check the pool while we were there, not many people used it.
...
Very helpful reception staff, booked a taxi for us for our departure.
...
Hotel was in a lovely position with the terrace jutting out over the sea. The marina had a lovely atmosphere, you could watch the fishing boats coming and going and the local people going about their business.

Not a place for a late night drink, as the bar manager's attitude was inconsistant [as well as the spirits measures] and there was no drinks menu or price list available, so one had to quiery the cost each time or wait for the bill on check out.
...
A good base for touring the area with varied priced eating places [right on the waters edge] in the evening giving excellant views of the bay of Naples.

When we booked the hotel we wrote that we wanted a double room with balcony and sea-view. We got a double room with what we call in Sweden a 'french' balcony. And the sea-view was very limited. That was a big disappointment to us.

Clearer information about the rooms without an ordanary balcony.
